John W. Masotti, CMA, CPA

As of January 1, 2017, John W. Masotti became the managing partner of Masotti & Masotti, LLC.

John graduated in 1997 from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the School of Business with a major in accounting. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in both the states of Connecticut and New York. He is also a Certified Managerial Accountant.

John is also the founder of MM Blockchain Academy (MMBA), an affiliate of Masotti & Masotti. MMBA is a blockchain accounting academy that creates and sells online crypto accounting courses with Wiley Publishing as a distribution partner. They have also partnered with the American Accounting Association to promote their courses to universities throughout the U.S. MMBA also created the first accredited Certified Blockchain Accounting Professional designation. John also created the Masotti & Masotti Digital Asset Group (MMDAG) to work specifically with their Digital Asset clientele. John is a Certified Bitcoin Professional - Expired (Cryptocurrency Certification Consortium) and a Certified Blockchain Expert (Blockchain Council).

John has extensive experience in tax planning and the preparation of business and individual income tax returns. He represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service, Connecticut Department of Revenue Services, Connecticut Department of Labor, and New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. He is continuously working with our strategic partner Select Family Office rendering tax planning and tax compliance services for our common clients. Since John is a licensed CPA and CMA, this makes him uniquely qualified when he regularly consults with our business clients on various tax and managerial accounting issues.

John is on the Board of Directors of two private charitable foundations that he founded. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Institute of Managerial Accountants.
